Meet The Staff

	"Rector" is the word used by the Episcopal Church to signify the grand poobah, the shaman, the spiritual leader, the one to blame etc. The present Rector is The Rev. Will Hinson who grew up in the Methodist Church in Sanford , NC. Will is 57, married, with two children and a granddaughter. Will was ordained Priest in the Episcopal Church in 1975 and has served several churches as well as being a marriage and family therapist in private practice. Will was a paratrooper in the Army, which says he is the kind who will jump from a perfectly good airplane! Erwin, his wife, is an artist and piano teacher. They have lived in Charlotte since 1984.


	Our Church Secretary, bookkeeper and webmaster is Susan Hill. Susan is a member of St. Martin's Episcopal church. Along with keeping us straight at St. Andrew's, she also is an associate of Knowmad Technologies. She does web design, web maintenance and Search Engine Optimization.

	Our Organist and Choir Master is Charles Crutchfield. Charles graduated from University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He also studied organ under Dr. Adolph Steutermann in Memphis Tennessee. Prior to comming to St. Andrews, he was organist for Little Church on the Lane and St. John's Episcopal Church. Charles is a member of the Charlotte Chaper of the American Guild of Organists.

St. Andrew's Vestry

The governing body of the Church is called the Vestry. The vestry consists of nine elected members who serve three-year terms. The vestry is responsible for all secular issues of the Church. Vestry folks love to get elected by the congregation and they also love their last vestry meeting!
