We are glad to share this space and we hope all our members and non-members feel free to use and enjoy this Church. Please contact the Church Office Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 704-537-0370 for details on building use.

Being a member of St. Andrew's is a two way street. The church reaches out to members through our worship services, Adult Education and special events. The member reaches out by being a part of a group within the church. If you are new to St. Andrew's the best way to get to know people is by participating in a group. Below are listed some of the groups that you can join to become a contributing member of St. Andrew's.

All women of the church are members of the ECW. Attendance at meetings is not a requirement of membership. Attendance is sociable, enjoyable, and informative.

We have two ECW chapters who meet in the Parish Hall once a month. St.Mary's Chapter meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. Teenie Tully is Chairperson of St. Mary's Chapter. St Elizabeth's Chapter meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Edna Otterbourg is Chairperson of St. Elizabeth's Chapter.

Our ECW Board meets in the library following the 10:30 service on the Sunday before the chapter meetings. Flo Trevor is President of the ECW. If there is something you would like to see the ECW involved in, please let the Board know.

What happens when we don't see someone on Sunday? Each member has a shepherd who keeps watch over their little band of members. If you are not seen, your shepherd will call or write just to see how you are doing. The shepherd also sends a birthday card. Of course, a member may also call their shepherd if they have a question or need some information about "goings on" at church.

All the shepherd meet for a meal and take time to update information. Shepherds sign on for one year at a time and signing up and retiring are equally celebrated.

If you would like to talk about being a shepherd please talk with Fr. Will and he will introduce you to Frank and Ruth the leaders of the flock.

The YAH group enjoys great meals together. Our YAH cooks prepare a great lunch every Thursday at 12:00 noon. It's lots of fun to get together, eat and tell a few jokes or stories and catch up on what's going on in the lives of the Young at Heart. Birthdays are celebrated and all sorts of news about grand children, children, and kinfolk get passed around. The YAH group takes a break during the summer but will resume in the fall. See the calendar for dates.

Our Prayer Group meets on Mondays at noon to pray for members and non-members of St. Andrew's. After prayers several members accompany Gene Humbphreys, our Deacon Intern, to take communion to members unable to attend Church.

The group has been active for 20 years and through the year new members have joined to enable the Prayer Group to continue to be a very real addition to the pastaral care ministry.

The "Kitchen Crew" is made up of members of the Episcopal Church women, who feed the Sharon Civitan Club each Tuesday at noon. A request was made to the women in January 1994, and for ten years the project has been the main support for the ECW. There is a team of four women for each Tuesday of the month, this involves about 15-20 women.

Additional volunteers are needed each Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Some of the faithful five would enjoy a break from the schedule of which they have been a part for so long.

When someone passes at St. Andrew's, Teenie Tully arranges that a meal be provided to the family to let them know that St. Andrew's is thinking of them. If you could provide assistance, there is always a need for volunteers.

The Board of Directors of Sta Homes, Inc., an auxiliary of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, is comprised of seven members of the church. This Board, along with managing general partner Peter Hubicki, oversees the operations of St. Andrew's Homes, a 34 unit, non-profit, apartment complex for qualified elderly and handicapped residents. St. Andrew's Homes is located behind the Church.
